Sri Lanka Unveils Tourism Potential at OTM Mumbai 2025

NKAR concluded a highly productive Day 2 at OTM Mumbai 2025, one of South Asia’s top travel trade exhibitions. Held at the world-class Jio World Convention Centre, the event has drawn thousands of travel industry professionals, tour operators, and other industry players across the globe.

A Strong Presence for Sri Lanka
Taking up space at Sri Lanka Pavilion, NKAR arranged back-to-back meetings with prime buyers, which brought to prominence the island’s diverse products, ranging from the country’s unspoiled beach and heritage areas to adventure holidays and high-end resorts. There was reported very high interest, according to the delegation, coming from Indian holiday operators, the focus being more flights connecting destinations, wellness travel, and environment-friendly holiday offerings.

What is OTM Mumbai?
Online Travel Mart (OTM) Mumbai is India’s largest international travel show, bringing destinations, hotels, airlines, and travel tech firms together with Indian and international buyers. The 2025 edition includes:
500+ exhibitors from 50+ countries
10,000+ trade visitors discovering new tourism products
Networking sessions, panel discussions, and destination showcases

Looking Ahead
As India has contributed over 20% of Sri Lanka’s tourist visits in 2024, OTM Mumbai is a key medium to drive visitation. The NKAR team aims to tap into this trend, focusing on MICE tourism and eco-packages.
